Gate Entry System
  • chevron_rightHow will the new gate system affect me
The newly implemented system does not mean much change for the homeowner.  The preferred method of entry is either via your remote control, magnetic key card or telephone directory.  The new system will eliminate the Vendor Code and replace it with individual codes.
Each Del Lago household will receive a separate 4-digit code (#XXXX) that can be given out (at the homeowner's discretion) to trusted relatives and friends who may need access to your home when you are not there.  Regular vendors will also be issued their own separate codes that will be restricted to normal business hours (they will not be able to open the gate before or after specified times).  Police and other agencies that need 24/7 access will be given separate codes that work 24 hours/day.

Personal vendors (such as housecleaners, pool cleaners, gardeners, etc.) can obtain their own codes. Realtors with current Del Lago listings will be able to request a temporary code that will be cancelled at the end of a specified period. Contractors and other service personnel who may be doing work at your home on a temporary basis can also obtain a temporary code that will be cancelled at the end of the project. The above codes will all be restricted to the hours 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • chevron_rightMy gardener (housekeeper, pool cleaner, etc.) comes to my house on a regular basis. I don't want to give them my household code. What should I do
You  should request a separateagement.  Thess codif the person no longer works for you, contact Management rson no longer works for you, contact Management rson no longer works for you, contact Management to have their gate code deleted.  You can also purchase a magnetic key card for them at a cost of $10 from Management.
  • chevron_rightWhy are we doing this
The vendor code was never meant to be given to the homeowners, but it seems to be known to numerous individuals both inside and outside of Del Lago.  This new system will allow us more control over who has access to our community.  Each homeowner should use discretion when giving out their personal entry code.  All of the codes will be trackable.  If you feel your code is being misused, you can request that Management change your code at any time.
  • chevron_rightWhat is this system costing us
Our existing gate entry system already has the capability to implement this program.  There was a small cost to train personnel on how to input the gate codes.  Going forward, there may be a fee for changing/inputting codes.
  • chevron_rightWhat if I'm expecting a one-time delivery and I don't have timne to request a temporary code or I just don't want to give out my code

If the telephone number linked to the gate directory has call forwarding capabilities, you can forward that number to your cell phone or other number where you will be.  When the guest arrives at the gate and calls from the gate directory, you can open the gate by pressing “9” just like you would do if you were at home.
  • chevron_rightHow do I forwward my land line that is linked to the gate directory to my cell phone

It varies depending on your local provider.  In general, if you have a Verizon land line or Charter Phone, you will do the following:
    1. Lift the receiver and listen for a dial tone.
    2. Press *72. When you hear the dial tone, dial the number you wish to forward calls to.
    3. The number you entered will ring, and call forwarding will be activated when the phone is answered.  (On Verizon, if the call is not answered or the line is busy, hang up and call the number again within two minutes.  You will hear two short tones telling you that Call Forwarding is activated.)
    4. Hang up the receiver.
To deactivate, press *73 after you hear the dial tone.  Listen for two short tones (Verizon) or one tone (Charter Phone)
Check with your local provider for further information.
  • chevron_rightI want to permanently change the telephone number linked to the gate directory from my land line to my cell phone. How do I do that

Your directory listing can be programmed either to your home phone (land line) or your cell phone (562 area codes only), but NOT both.  Either your land line or your cell phone can remotely open the gate for a guest calling on the intercom system.  If you want to change how your directory listing is currently linked, contact Transpacific Management and asked that the number be changed.
  • chevron_rightI've just found out one of my family members has been giving out our personal gate code to all his/her friends. What can I do

You can contact Management (either by phone or via the “Contact Us” link on the Del Lago website and ask them to change your household code.  The old code will be deleted, and you will be given a new code.
  • chevron_rightI am the owner but lease my property. Can my renters be assigned their own household code

No.  However, you may give them a copy of your homeowner gate entry assignment letter and they can use your code.
  • chevron_rightWhat is happening with the two pedestrian gates

Nothing.  The code remains the same.  If you do not have the pedestrian gate code, contact Management.
  • chevron_rightWhat is happening with the Bellflower vehicle gate

Nothing.  This vehicle gate may be opened only with a remote or magnetic key card.
